‘Les Bravades’ have taken place in Saint-Tropez for years on 16, 17 and 18 May. They are a display of the pride which residents of Saint-Tropez have in their glorious military past and of their deep devotion to their Patron Saint.
25 apr 2023 · Local religious and military celebration in Saint-Tropez. Les Bravades is a very long-standing traditional festival which happens annually in May to celebrate the Patron Saint of Saint-Tropez. It also celebrates the formation of the army created in the mid 16th century.
Les Bravades is a 68-page picture book by Orson Welles, written and drawn in 1956, and published posthumously in 1996. The title is that of the publisher; the original manuscript carries the title, A portfolio of pictures made for Rebecca Welles by her father, Christmas 1956.
