Sharpe's Company is a historical novel in the Richard Sharpe series by Bernard Cornwell, first published in 1982. It was the third in the series to be published, but is thirteenth in chronological order.
Plot. During the British Army's assault on Ciudad Rodrigo, Sharpe's commander and friend, Colonel William Lawford, is severely wounded, losing an arm when a mine blows. He retires from his post as commander of the South Essex regiment.
Sharpe's Company is a 1995 episode of the TV series Sharpe, based on a novel by Bernard Cornwell. It follows Sharpe's adventures in the siege of Badajoz, Spain, where he faces his old enemy Sergeant Hakeswill and learns he has a daughter.
