Expectations is an album recorded by Keith Jarrett in 1972 and released on Columbia Records the same year. In addition to Jarrett, musicians on the recording include his "American quartet": Dewey Redman on tenor saxophone, Charlie Haden on bass, and Paul Motian on drums.
Jarrett’s only album for CBS but in saying that it’s an exceptional piece of work with his “American Quartet” consisting of Dewey Redman on Sax, Charlie Haden on Bass and Paul Motion on Drums.

10 giu 2020 · Charlie Haden. 1975 started with hectic activity of solo concerts for Keith Jarrett in Europe, famously yielding the iconic album The Köln Concert. Also of note is the recording of another favorite in his ECM catalogue, the album Arbour Zena with Jan Garbarek, Charlie Haden and a symphony orchestra.
It covers lots of different territories with a stellar cast of musicians, Charlie Haden, Paul Motian, Dewey Redman, Sam Brown and Airto Moirera. It's a big chunk all at once but very enjoyable with Jarrett's piano prowess singing, swinging and really digging into gospel and blues.
