Edward John Stanley, 6th Baron Sheffield, 6th Baron Stanley of Alderley, and 5th Baron Eddisbury (October 9, 1907 – March 3, 1971), was a British peer. He was the son of the Arthur Stanley, 5th Baron Stanley of Alderley (1875–1931) and Margaret Evelyn Gordon (1875–1964). [1]

He was Liberal Member of Parliament for Eddisbury and also served as Governor of Victoria. His eldest son, the 6th Baron Stanley of Alderley, sold the family seat of Alderley Hall in 1938. He was married four times, the second time to Sylvia Ashley.

Ferdinando Stanley, Lord of Mann, 5th Earl of Derby, 6th Baron Stanley, 13th Baron Strange (1559–1594) Summoned to Parliament in 1588 in his father's Barony of Strange. On his death the Baronies of Stanley, Mohun and Strange (of Knokyn) fell into abeyance between his three daughters.
Edward John Stanley, 2nd Baron Stanley of Alderley, PC (13 November 1802 – 16 June 1869), known as The Lord Eddisbury between 1848 and 1850, was a British politician. He served as Postmaster General between 1860 and 1866.
