Tudwal Gloff (English: Tudwal the Lame or Welsh: Tudwal ap Rhodri; born c. 860) was the youngest of the four sons of Rhodri the Great. Life. He earned his epithet 'the Lame' after being wounded in his knee at the Battle of the Conwy in 881 AD fighting alongside his brothers against the invading Mercians.

He was Lord of Ceredigion. In context, this would mean possession of a farm manor and an income from it. It would appear that land is all that the son of Tudwal ap Rhodri obtained in Dyfed, and Tudwal (being lame) expected nothing more.

21 mar 2024 · Wolcott estimates Tudwal Gloff's birth at say 865, and his father Rhodri Mawr's birth at about 820. Rhodri's place of birth is not known. Rhodri was the son of Merfyn Frych ap Gwriad, king of Gwynedd, who died in 844. Boyer states that Merfyn Frych is the earliest undisputed ancestor of this line.
