Mum's Guest ( Persian: مهمان مامان, translit. Mehman-e Maman, Romanized as Mehmān-e Māmān) is a 2004 Iranian family comedy film directed by Dariush Mehrjui. It is based on a book of the same name by Iranian author Houshang Moradi Kermani.

When news that a family member with his new bride is soon to pay a courtesy visit, Mrs. Effat goes out of her way to put together a welcome beyond their means – harrying not only her immediate family, but the local community as well.
"Mum" ( veteran Iranian actress Golab Abdineh) has invited her newly wed niece for dinner and is worried that, being very poor, she and her husband can not prepare a meal to suit the occasion. Help, however, arrives from a number of unexpected places.
