Colin Whinnery is an accomplished Nashville musician, songwriter, and engineer. He has toured as a guitar player with Wynonna Judd, Lonestar, Bryan White, and Savannah Jack, On bass, he’s worked with Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Billy Gilman, Bryan White, and Tim Rushlow from Little Texas.
The current line-up is Nelson, Chris Marion, Ryan Ricks, Colin Whinnery and Bruce Wallace – none of whom are Australian. Various legal disputes over the band's name occurred in the 2000s, with Housden filing suit against Birtles, Goble and Shorrock.
Nashville Guitarist Colin Whinnery plays rhythm and lead guitar, and shares lead vocal duties with Wayne. He brings a brand new voice and a fresh outlook to the rhythm section. Early 2014 saw the release of Little River Band’s, ‘ Cuts Like a Diamond,’ on Frontiers Records.
This band includes bassist and lead vocalist Wayne Nelson (from 1980 to 1996 and since 1999), keyboardist and vocalist Chris Marion (since 2004), drummer and vocalist Ryan Ricks (since 2012), guitarist and vocalist Colin Whinnery (since 2018) and guitarist and vocalist Bruce Wallace (since 2022).
