The film features Reeves as an undercover FBI agent who is tasked with investigating the identities of a group of bank robbers while he develops a complex relationship with the group's leader (Swayze). Development of Point Break began in 1986, when Iliff wrote an initial treatment for the film.
Point Break is a 1991 action film starring Keanu Reeves as Johnny Utah, a former college football quarterback and young FBI agent who goes undercover into the Southern California surfing community in order to root out a bank robbery crew known as the "Ex-Presidents", who bear characteristics of the culture.
