The Peacock Military Academy was a college-preparatory school in San Antonio, Texas. It was founded in 1894 by Wesley Peacock, Sr., who envisioned "the most thorough military school west of the Mississippi, governed by the honor system, and conducted on the principles of a cultured home."
The Peacock Alumni Association is a membership of former PMA students and this site serves as a collection of memorabilia, information and as a communication tool between former students and their families. You are encouraged to register and participate!
1 mag 1995 · Peacock Military Academy, in San Antonio, also known as Peacock School for Boys, Peacock Military School, and Peacock Military College, was established in 1894 by Wesley Peacock. The institution was one of the first private preparatory boarding and day schools in Texas for boys between twelve and eighteen years of age.
25 ott 2020 · The original Peacock Military Academy was founded in 1894 in San Antonio by Wesley Peacock, a well-known educator and child psychologist. In 1930 Peacock opened a north Texas branch of the school at this site to provide military, academic, and physical education for young men in the first grade through junior college.
