Charles Schomberg, Marquess of Harwich (15 December 1683 – 5 October 1713) was a British soldier. He was the only son of Meinhardt Schomberg and his second wife Raugravine Caroline Elisabeth, daughter of Charles I Louis, Elector Palatine and Marie Luise von Degenfeld.
Charles Schomberg, only son of Meinhardt, third and last Duke of Schomberg (see his burial 4 Aug. 1719), by Caroline-Elizabeth his wife (see her burial 11 July 1696). He was a Colonel of Horse, and commonly called by his father's second title.

10 mag 2003 · Charles Louis Schomberg, Marquess of Harwich was born on 15 December 1683. He was the son of Meinhardt von Schomberg, 3rd Duke of Schomberg and Caroline Elisabeth Raugräfin zu Pfalz. He died on 14 October 1713 at age 29. He gained the title of Marquess of Harwich.

Due to the involvement of the Schomberg family in the invasion, Charles Louis Schomberg was made Marquess of Harwich. Writer Daniel Defoe devotes a few pages to the town in A tour thro' the Whole Island of Great Britain. Visiting in 1722, he noted its formidable fort and harbour "of a vast extent". [6]
