The Pleasures of Electricity is an album by John Foxx and Louis Gordon, released in 2001. It was the duo's second studio album, and Foxx's third after his return to the music scene in 1997. The album continues along the lines of modern electronics flavoured with early-80s touches that was set out by the duo's 1997 album Shifting City.

Ultravox
Nel 1973 Foxx forma un gruppo denominato Tiger Lily che nell'agosto del 1974 tengono il loro primo concerto al Marquee Club di Londra. Il 14 marzo 1975 esce il singolo Ain't Misbehavin. Lasciati gli Ultravox, John Foxx firma un contratto con la Virgin Records e pubblica il suo primo singolo Underpass. Dopo la breve parentesi con i Nation 12 e il progetto Electrofear Foxx sparisce di nuovo dalla scena per emergere ancora nel 1997 con la prima collaborazione con il musicista di Manchester Louis Gordon.
