Mary Harlan Lincoln (née Harlan; September 25, 1846 – March 31, 1937) was the daughter of United States Senator James Harlan and the wife of Robert Todd Lincoln. Life and family. Jessie Harlan Lincoln (November 6, 1875 – January 4, 1948) was the second daughter of Robert Todd Lincoln, the granddaughter of Abraham Lincoln, and the mother of Mary Lincoln Beckwith and Robert Todd Lincoln Beckwith.
After graduating from college in 1845, he married Ann Eliza Peck and moved to Iowa. Their first child, Mary Eunice, arrived in 1846. An influential Methodist, Harlan worked as an educator, merchant, surveyor, and lawyer before beginning a national political career.
