Sister Veronika ( German: Schwester Veronika) is a 1927 German silent drama film directed by Gerhard Lamprecht and starring Aud Egede-Nissen, Paul Richter, and Hilde Maroff. The film's art direction was by Otto Moldenhauer. It was based on a play by Hans Müller.

Sister Veronica O.S.R.N is a resident of Nonnatus House. Debuting in Series 12 as a replacement for Sister Hilda. She is played by Rebecca Gethings.

Sister Veronika’s death is a tragic microcosm of the ongoing assault on health care in war-torn regions around the world—all are marked by unanswered questions, impunity for perpetrators, and health consequences that will echo within affected communities for generations to come.
25 ott 2023 · Sr. Veronika, a native of Slovakia, pioneered the Missionary Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit (SSpS) mission in South Sudan’s Yei Diocese since 2010. She died at Kenya’s Nairobi Hospital on 20 May 2016 after she was attacked and shot several times by a group of soldiers in the South Sudanese Catholic Diocese.
7 lug 2017 · We recall exactly one year today when Sr. Veronika passed away after suffering from gunshot wounds inflicted by armed men on her way back, after bringing to the hospital a mother about to give birth.
