On 1st September 2020, five new faculties started their operation: Faculty of Archaeology, Faculty of History, Faculty of Sociology, Faculty of Philosophy, and Faculty of Culture and Arts. As of 1st September 2022, the Faculty of Medicine was opened (the first students of medicine will begin the studies on 1st October 2023).

The Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Warsaw that runs the programme has a long tradition of being one of the most successful and influential philosophical centres in central Europe. The programme took off in 2007 and has won a great acclaim among students.
In 1957, a sociology section was established at the Faculty of Philosophy of the UW: students were again admitted, and a sociology department team was formed.

Studying philosophical anthropology, social philosophy and philosophy of culture allow ISiP students to comprehend intricate relations between a manner of living, the dominant intellectual culture, and the goals of social elites in diverse times and societies.
