Ball-Hog or Tugboat? is the 1995 debut solo album by American musician Mike Watt, previously known for his work as the bass guitarist and songwriter for the punk rock groups Minutemen and fIREHOSE. The title references the difference between being a team player or being a glory hog.
He appeared on the Germs tribute album, Mo Wax's U.N.K.L.E Psyence Fiction, Nigo's Bape Sounds, and Mike Watt's Ball-Hog or Tugboat?. Plus Mike D also remixed a few of songs for other artists. This was all done on top of the work he did as one of the Beastie Boys, who toured constantly throughout the last half of the 1990s.
