Victoria College was a College of Advanced Education (CAE) in Melbourne, Australia. It was created as a result of the merger on 23 December 1981 of the State College of Victoria colleges at Burwood, Rusden and Toorak with the Prahran College of Advanced Education.

Ruskin College – originally known as Ruskin Hall, Oxford – was established in 1899 specifically to provide educational opportunities for working-class men, who were denied access to university.

31 dic 1991 · Merging with Victoria College transformed Deakin in size, complexity, culture and geography. It also gave Deakin a greater national profile and presence in Melbourne. Victoria College was a large institution with campuses at Rusden, Prahran, Toorak and Burwood.
