Anna Komnene Angelina or Comnena Angelina (Greek: Άννα Κομνηνή Αγγελίνα; c. 1176 – 1212) (not to be confused with Anna Komnene) was Empress consort of Nicaea. She was the daughter of emperor Alexios III Angelos and of Euphrosyne Doukaina Kamatera.

9 mar 2024 · Anna Komnena Angelina (c. 1176 - 1212) was a daughter of the Byzantine Emperor Alexios III Angelos and of Euphrosyne Doukaina Kamatera. Her first marriage was to the sebastokratōr Isaac Komnenos, a great-nephew of the emperor Manuel I Komnenos.
Anna Komnene (Greek: Ἄννα Κομνηνή, romanized: Ánna Komnēnḗ; 1 December 1083 – 1153 [1]), commonly Latinized as Anna Comnena, [2] was a Byzantine Greek princess and historian. She is the author of the Alexiad, an account of the reign of her father, Byzantine emperor Alexios I Komnenos.
Anna Komnene was a strong-willed Byzantine princess, born in the imperial palace and the daughter of a sitting emperor, who even tried to overthrow her brother as emperor. Yet today Anna’s legacy is not her political vivacity but the impressive history she wrote of her father’s reign, fittingly called the Alexiad.
Figlia dell’imperatore Alessio I Comneno e di Irene Dukas, Anna Comnena era “nata nella porpora”. A pochi giorni di età fu fidanzata a Costantino Dukas, il quale venne associato al trono. Con il fidanzamento, voluto della ex-imperatrice Maria Dukas, si poneva fine alla profonda rivalità che aveva diviso le due famiglie.
