The Baboon Show started out in Stockholm in late 2003 and was formed by Cecilia Boström (vocals), Håkan Sörle (guitar) and Niclas Svensson (drums). In 2004 they released the DIY 6-track EP This is it! and started touring Sweden and made themselves a reputation of being one of Sweden’s best live acts.

Håkan Sörle was introduced as the band's new guitarist on the show's following the album release.
The Baboon Show wurden 2003 von Cecilia Boström , Helen Lindberg – ab 02/2004 , Niclas Svensson und Håkan Sörle gegründet. Der Name ist angelehnt an die schwedische Regierung, die sich in den Augen der Band wie eine Horde wilder Paviane aufführt.
