The rest of the record is filled with atmospheres that evoke different aspects of the North Seas with a bunch of singers including Jane Sibery and a myriad of others with often unpronounceable names.

Chansons des mers froides (French: Songs from the Cold Seas) is a 1994 album by French musician Hector Zazou. Zazou enlisted several singers for the recording, such as Siouxsie, Björk, John Cale, Suzanne Vega and Jane Siberry among others, and native singers of the Arctic.

Siouxsie Sioux (pronuncia inglese ˈsuːziː suː), pseudonimo di Susan Janet Ballion (Londra, 27 maggio 1957), è una cantautrice britannica. È conosciuta per essere stata la cantante del gruppo musicale Siouxsie and the Banshees (1976-1996) e del duo The Creatures (1981-2005).
At the same time, she released the song "The Lighthouse" on French producer Hector Zazou's album Chansons des mers froides (which translates to Songs from the Cold Seas), with jazz trumpetist Mark Isham. Siouxsie and Zazou adapted the poem "Flannan Isle" by English poet Wilfred Wilson Gibson.
