In 1995 McShee formed a trio, with Conway on percussion and Spencer Cozens on keyboards. Their first album, About Thyme , featured Ralph McTell , Albert Lee , Mike Mainieri and John Martyn as guests.

Spencer Cozens has been a longest serving member of Unidentified Flying Project and has played on 6 of the tracks, a feat not achieved by any of the other musicians and he has survived the ruthless culling that Simon has made from track to track.
