The Fabulous Thunderbirds is an American blues band formed in 1974. Singer Kim Wilson is the only constant member through the band's entire history. Their 1986 album Tuff Enuff sold over a million copies, and spawned two minor hit singles: the title track and "Wrap It Up".
On March 26, 2015, Richard Innes, the greatest blues drummer of his generation passed away at the age of 65. As we remember Hollywood Fats on the 30th anniversary of his death, it is good that we celebrate his music on the 40th anniversary of the recording of the self-titled, Hollywood Fats Band album.

Richard Innes, born April 9, 1948 in Colfax, Washington, played drums with many prominent Southern California blues bands, including Bacon Fat, the Hollywood Fats Blues Band and the Hollywood Blue Flames. Innes also played with Big Mama Thornton and Little Richard.
It is there you would have found this past December a fresh blanket of snow and the man that has often been referred to as the world’s greatest blues drummer, Richard Innes. It is not the Southern California of palm tree lined boulevards, movie studios or beaches that you have seen in the postcards or in on T.V.
