Biografia. In patria è stato molto popolare negli anni ottanta per i film interpretati dagli attori del cosiddetto Brat Pack. Ha esordito in Class (1983). In seguito è stato coprotagonista del film Bella in rosa (1986), al fianco di Molly Ringwald e Jon Cryer.
Andrew Thomas McCarthy (born November 29, 1962) is an American actor, travel writer, and television director. He is most known as a member of the Brat Pack, with roles in 1980s films such as St. Elmo's Fire, Pretty in Pink, Less than Zero, and Weekend at Bernie's.
