Serge Nubret (6 October 1938 – 19 April 2011) was a French professional bodybuilder, actor and self-published author. He won numerous bodybuilding competitions, including 1976 NABBA Mr. Universe (1976).
Serge Nubret is one of the all-time greats, nicknamed both ‘The Black Panther’, and ‘The Nubret Lion’ for the same reason: he was fearsome. During his peak, no-one wanted to go toe-to-toe with Nubret, he was the biggest and most cut bodybuilder of his generation.

The first and only Frenchman to have stood on the podium of Mr Olympia (from 1972 to 1975), he competed with the best bodybuilders of the time, including Lou Ferrigno or even Arnold Schwarzenegger .
Ad oggi, è considerato l’unico culturista al mondo ad aver detenuto sei titoli mondiali con quattro diverse federazioni di bodybuilding. Morì nell’aprile del 2011, dopo essere entrato in coma nel 2009, all’età di 72 anni. La sua morte ancora oggi rimane un mistero, ma si presuppone che sia stata causata da un tumore.
