Henry Krieger (born February 9, 1945) is an American musical theatre composer. He most notably wrote the music for the Broadway shows Dreamgirls (1981, with lyrics and book by Tom Eyen), The Tap Dance Kid (1983), and Side Show (1997).

20 lug 2024 · Henry Krieger (b. 9 February 1945, New York, N.Y.) is an American musical theatre composer. Krieger grew up in White Plains and Ossining in Westchester County, New York and attended school at the Scarborough School in Scarborough, New York.
Mr. Krieger's musical Romantic Poetry, written with John Patrick Shanley, was presented at the Manhattan Theater Club. His collaborations with Side Show authoR&Bill Russell include the musicals Kept, Lucky Duck, and, at the Kennedy Center, Up in the Air, directed by Amon Miyamoto.
