Synopsis. Mont Blake, who controls the town of Sundown, is about to hang Shorty Hillis, a jockey who has drugged his racehorse. Rose, the jockey's sister, who is forced by her stepfather, Joe Craddock, to work in Blake's saloon, interferes; but Shorty is saved by Baxter Brant.
