Cézanne and I (original title: Cézanne et moi) is a 2016 French biographical drama film based on the friendship between 19th century novelist Émile Zola and painter Paul Cézanne. The film was written and directed by Danièle Thompson; it stars Guillaume Canet, Guillaume Gallienne, Alice Pol, Déborah François and Sabine Azéma.

The film follows the careers and life-long friendship of post-impressionist painter Paul Cézanne (Guillaume Gallienne) and writer Emile Zola (Guillaume Canet). In the introduction to these young boys their differences are distinct.
Synopsis. They loved each other with the ardor of thirteen-year-old boys. Rebellion and curiosity, hopes and doubts, girls and dreams of glory – they shared it all. Paul was rich, Emile poor. They left Aix-en-Provence for Paris and quickly became part of the art scene in Montmartre and Batignolles.
