Tratto dal romanzo di Inger Ash Wolfe, il film è ambientato nella sonnolenta cittadina di Port Dundas, che viene improvvisamente sconvolta da una serie di macabri omicidi. Toccherà alla detective Hazel Micallef dare la caccia al serial killer, che scoprirà essere guidato da una vocazione più "alta".
