A quotation from Frederic Bastiat, scenes of protesters at the home of a Morgan Stanley CEO and Bernard Madoff's acknowledgement of his Ponzi scheme accompany the title sequence.

In 2006, journalist Danny Schechter produced a cautionary film, "In Debt We Trust," then in 2008 published his book, "Plunder." Schechter calls Wall Street a crime scene.

Former managing partner at Bear Stearns and Goldman Sachs, Nomi Prins, accuses the financial institutions of misdeeds. A quote from a Vanity Fair editor adds to the accusations.

Schechter laments the lack of attention of the media to the ongoing crimes. He interviews white collar criminal Sam Antar and business reporter Gary Weiss regarding Wall Street crimes.

Musician and Wall Street Veteran, David Russell, explains how the educated elite could be complicit in financial schemes. He believes that lack of regulation allowed legal manipulation.

We hear Bernard Madoff's confession. Lack of investigative reporting combined with inadequate regulation allows for white collar crime. Convicted criminal Sam Antar elucidates.

Loretta Napoleoni calls this borderline legality "rogue economics" in her book by the same name. Nomi Prins confirms the pernicious circle of influence on the regulatory system.

While the FBI investigated 1300 securities and fraud cases and 580 corporate fraud cases in 2009, the media focused on Bernard Madoff. The victims react and claim SEC negligence.

Financial fraud investigator, Harry Markopolos, accuses the SEC of negligence before a congressional committee. Congressman Gary Ackerman rebukes the SEC. Sam Antar blames the inadequacy of the regulatory system.

The predatory subprime lending of real estate mortgages financed by low Federal Reserve interest rates were bought by Wall Street securitizers, bundled, resold and insured in speculation schemes by hedge fund gamblers.

  5. Journalist and filmmaker Danny Schechter, the self-proclaimed 'News Dissector' is relentless in his desire to bring to light the criminal practices that brought about an economic crisis whose impact has been so severe that, in the words of George W. Bush, it could be "greater than the great depression".
