25 mag 2004 · Overview. Roy Höllsdotter (Darren Casey) is a stand-up comedian in his late 30s making an adequate living as a pub performer. However, all is not well in his personal life – he’s drinking too much and has been stalking his ex-girlfriend Cate (Asher Keddie).
Writer and director Saville's film, Roy Hollsdotter Live, is an atmospheric tale about Roy, a stand-up comic with a very dark side. Filmed in Melbourne, it is a successfully moody drama in which the handful of locations tell us much about where Roy is at in life.
