1 ago 1998 · Overview. Based on a true story, set in the late 19th century: Lord Tichborne, the ninth richest nobleman in England, disappears after a South American shipwreck. Some years later his erudite Afro-English valet, Bogle, is sent to investigate rumors that Tichborne survived and settled in Australia.
Synopsis. When a rich British aristocrat disappears off the coast of Australia in 1866, his servant Bogle is dispatched. With Lord Tichborne nowhere to be found and realising that he will be refused a return home unless in the company of his master, Bogle desperately attempts to mould a vulgar peasant into a Tichborne double.
Synopsis. In 1866 one of the wealthiest young men in England disappears when sailing around the world. Ten years later, sightings of the presumed drowned Sir Roger Charles Doughty Tichborne, are made in South America and Australia. A trusted black man servant, Bogle, is sent to Australia to identify the heir apparent.
