Trama. Dopo la fine della guerra civile Manuel Cortez, ex sindaco della città di Mijas a Malaga, non ha alcuna possibilità di fuggire dalla Spagna. Con un lungo e pericoloso viaggio riesce però una sera a ritornare a casa senza essere scoperto.
