The film is about a con artist theater producer and his accountant who scheme to get rich by fraudulently overselling interests in a stage musical purposely designed to fail.

Sinossi. Il film "The Producers" parla di un produttore di Broadway ormai in rovina, Max Bialystock (Nathan Lane), a cui un ragioniere timido e spesso isterico, Leopold Bloom, fa capire che, truffando potrebbe fare più soldi con un fallimento che con un grande spettacolo.
