Porno for Pyros is an American alternative rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1992, following the first break-up of Jane's Addiction. The band currently consists of Jane's Addiction members, Perry Farrell (vocals) and Stephen Perkins (drums), alongside Peter DiStefano (guitar) and Mike Watt (bass). [2]

Il nome viene dato da Farrell dopo aver visto una foto pubblicitaria per fuochi d'artificio (pyros in inglese) su una rivista pornografica. Già prima di pubblicare il loro primo disco, Porno for Pyros nel 1993, il gruppo intraprende un lungo tour mondiale, che aiuterà l'album a risalire fino al terzo posto della classifica Billboard Top 200.
