Adolph Green was an American lyricist and playwright who collaborated with Betty Comden on musicals for Broadway and Hollywood. He wrote the songs and screenplays for Singin' in the Rain, The Band Wagon, and other classics, and won four Tony Awards and two Oscar nominations.
