Laura Jane Sandys CBE (/ s æ n d z /; born 5 June 1964) is a former chair of the European Movement UK, and a British Conservative Party politician, who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for South Thanet between 2010 and 2015.
Laura Sandys is a leading advocate of building a more productive and efficient economy, a promoter of greater demand production policies placing consumers at the heart of markets, and an innovator in food policy. She holds various roles in energy, food and resource sectors, and is the chair of The Food Foundation and POWERful Women.
