Granville Leveson-Gower, 1st Marquess of Stafford, KG PC (4 August 1721 – 26 October 1803), known as Viscount Trentham from 1746 to 1754 and as The Earl Gower from 1754 to 1786, was a British politician from the Leveson-Gower family.
When he died childless in 1803 his complicated will left the profits of the Bridgewater Canal to Lord Stafford’s (Earl Gower became Marquis of Stafford in 1786) eldest son, George Granville Leveson Gower, the future first Duke of Sutherland.

Biografia. Granville era figlio di Granville Leveson-Gower, I marchese di Stafford e della sua terza moglie Lady Susannah Stewart, figlia di Alexander Stewart, VI conte di Galloway; suo cugino era John Stewart, VII conte di Galloway; suo fratellastro era George Leveson-Gower, I duca di Sutherland.
