Philipp Heinrich Scheidemann ( Kassel, 26 luglio 1865 – Copenaghen, 29 novembre 1939) è stato un politico tedesco, cancelliere del Reich nel 1919 e sindaco di Kassel dal 1919 al 1925.
Philipp Heinrich Scheidemann (26 July 1865 – 29 November 1939) was a German politician of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD). In the first quarter of the 20th century he played a leading role in both his party and in the young Weimar Republic.

Jahrhunderts war er einer der herausragenden Protagonisten und Repräsentanten seiner Partei und der Weimarer Republik.
Uomo politico tedesco, nato il 24 luglio 1865 a Kassel. Tipografo, aderì giovanissimo al partito socialdemocratico. Eletto deputato al Reichstag fin dal 1903, fu chiamato nel 1911 a far parte della direzione del suo partito a Berlino.
Philipp Scheidemann was a key figure in the German Social Democratic Party (SPD) during the First World War. On 9 November 1918, Scheidemann proclaimed the republic in Germany and became the first head of government in the Weimar Republic.
