Oscar Adolf Wisting (Larvik, 6 giugno 1871 – Oslo, 5 dicembre 1936) è stato un navigatore ed esploratore norvegese ed uno dei primi cinque uomini ad aver raggiunto il Polo Sud con la spedizione Amundsen.
Oscar Adolf Wisting (6 June 1871 – 5 December 1936) was a Norwegian Naval officer and polar explorer. Together with Roald Amundsen he was the first person to reach both the North and South Poles. [1]
Wisting was Roald Amundsen’s most trusted and faithful expedition companion. For a total of 16 years he worked with and for Amundsen on board the Fram, the Maud and the airship Norge. Together they were the first to reach both the South and North Poles.
Oscar Wisting was one of Amundsen’s most loyal friends and expedition staff. Their first meeting was in summer 1909, when Amundsen was experimenting with kite flying outside Horten in preparation for the Fram expedition that would eventually go to Antarctica.

Oscar Adolf Wisting was a Norwegian polar explorer. Together with Roald Amundsen, he was the first person to reach both the North and South Poles. Oscar Wisting was born in Larvik, in Vestfold county, Norway. At the age of sixteen, he went to sea and in 1892 joined the Royal Norwegian Navy.
Oscar Wisting var Roald Amundsens mest betrodde og trofaste ekspedisjonsmedarbeider. I totalt 16 år jobbet han sammen med og for Roald Amundsen om bord i Fram, Maud og luftskipet Norge, og de to menn sammen ble de første som nådde både Sydpolen og Nordpolen.
