Karl Rudolf Gerd von Rundstedt (12 December 1875 – 24 February 1953) was a German Generalfeldmarschall (Field Marshal) in the Heer (Army) of Nazi Germany during World War II. Born into a Prussian family with a long military tradition, von Rundstedt entered the Prussian Army in 1892.
Karl Rudolf Gerd von Rundstedt (* 12. Dezember 1875 in Aschersleben, Provinz Sachsen; † 24. Februar 1953 in Hannover) war ein deutscher Offizier, zuletzt Generalfeldmarschall im Zweiten Weltkrieg, und führte während des gesamten Kriegs militärische Großverbände ( Heeresgruppen) an mehreren Fronten.

Scoppiata la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, prese il comando del gruppo d’armate sud sul fronte polacco: conquistò Cracovia, Lodz e Przemysl e respinse i Polacchi oltre la Vistola. Divenne governatore della Polonia dopo aver conquistato Varsavia.
