Femke Halsema (pronounced [ˈfɛmkə ˈɦɑlsəmaː] ⓘ; born 25 April 1966) is a Dutch politician and filmmaker. On 27 June 2018, she was appointed Mayor of Amsterdam and began serving a six-year term on 12 July 2018. She is the first woman to hold the position on a non-interim basis.
Femke Halsema (Haarlem, 25 april 1966) is een Nederlands burgemeester, voormalig parlementslid en schrijfster. Sinds 12 juli 2018 is zij burgemeester van Amsterdam. Eerder was zij van 1998 tot 2011 lid van de Tweede Kamer der Staten-Generaal namens GroenLinks.

28 feb 2024 · De gemeenteraad heeft besloten om Halsema een tweede termijn te geven. Ze werd in 2018 de eerste vrouwelijke burgemeester van de hoofdstad en overleefde een motie van wantrouwen in 2020.
