Sophie Amalie Moth, Countess of Samsøe (28 March 1654 – 17 January 1719) was the officially acknowledged royal mistress of King Christian V of Denmark. Together they had six acknowledged illegitimate children, all of whom bore the surname Gyldenløve. In 1677 she was elevated to be the first Landgrave of Samsø.

Il suo primo atto all'ascesa del trono fu il pubblico insulto a sua moglie attraverso l'introduzione nella corte della sua giovane amante sedicenne, Sofia Amalia Moth (1654-1719). Amelia era la figlia del suo primo tutore Paul Moth e la ragazza fu fatta contessa di Samsø il 31 dicembre 1677 .

21 lug 2015 · "In 1771, Christian V publicly introduced to Court his mistress, Sophie Amalie Moth (1654-1719). She was the daughter of his former tutor, Paul Moth. Sophie Amalie bore the King five children, each of whom he acknowledged publicly and gave the surname Gyldenløve.
