Sylvia Young Theatre School, Rossmore Road, 2006. Sylvia Young Theatre School is an independent school in Marble Arch, London, England. It is a specialist performing arts school named after its founder and principal, Sylvia Young OBE.
Sylvia Young, OBE. Welcome. We have here, at the Sylvia Young Theatre School, a caring family atmosphere in which all students are encouraged to develop their individual talents and to achieve high standards in both the academic and vocational curriculum.
Sylvia Young Theatre School. Young founded her theatre school in 1981 in Drury Lane, London, before moving to its current Marylebone premises in 1983. [3] [4] The school is co-educational and provides a combination of academic and vocational classes for children aged 10 to 16 years.
The Sylvia Young Theatre School places great emphasis on high academic standards and on excellence in the performing arts. Our aim is to develop the whole person as well as providing a unique opportunity for students with potential in the performing arts to train and to perfect their skills.
