Grady Louis McMurtry (October 18, 1918 – July 12, 1985) was an American ceremonial magician, student of occult writer Aleister Crowley, and an adherent of Thelema. He is best known for reviving the fraternal organization Ordo Templi Orientis , which he headed from 1971 until his death in 1985.

Originally released as two volumes of RED FLAME, A Thelemic Research Journal titled In the Name of the Beast, A Biography of Grady Louis McMurtry, Disciple of Aleister Edward Crowley (2005) and long out-of-print, this newly revised biography of Grady is now in one volume.
Grady Louis McMurtry (October 18, 1918 – July 12, 1985):. Grady McMurtry, also known as Hymenaeus Alpha 777, met Crowley while stationed in Europe and serving as a Lieutenant in the United States Army during World War II.
Grady Louis McMurtry appears in no versions of the Saints of Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica in Liber XV, published during Aleister Crowley's lifetime. However, as a past Outer Head of the Order, of Ordo Templi Orientis, his name can optionally be added to the end of the list of Gnostic Saints, which concludes with a list of people who have held that office.
