Katharine Tynan (23 January 1859 – 2 April 1931) was an Irish writer, known mainly for her novels and poetry. After her marriage in 1893 to the Trinity College scholar, writer and barrister Henry Albert Hinkson (1865–1919) she usually wrote under the name Katharine Tynan Hinkson, or variations thereof.

12 apr 2024 · Katharine Tynan was an Irish poet and novelist whose works are dominated by the combined influences of Roman Catholicism and Irish patriotism. Like the poet William Butler Yeats, she developed a deep and abiding interest in Celtic mythology. Her Collected Poems were published in 1930.
