Poeta inglese nato il 22 gennaio 1788 a Londra, morto il 19 aprile 1824 a Missolungi. Discendeva da un ramo di antica famiglia normanna (de Buron) stabilitosi a Newstead, nella contea di Nottingham, nel 1540 con sir John Byron, il cui pronipote fu elevato al rango di pari nel 1643.
