Alexander Raban Waugh (8 July 1898 – 3 September 1981) was a British novelist, the elder brother of the better-known Evelyn Waugh, uncle of Auberon Waugh and son of Arthur Waugh, author, literary critic and publisher.

Alec Waugh (born July 8, 1898, Hampstead, London—died Sept. 3, 1981, Tampa, Fla., U.S.) was an English popular novelist and travel writer, older brother of the writer Evelyn Waugh. Waugh was educated at Sherborne, from which he was expelled, and the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst.

Alec Waugh (1898-1981) was a British novelist born in London and educated at Sherborne Public School, Dorset. Waugh's first novel, The Loom of Youth (1917), is a semi-autobiographical account of public school life that caused some controversy at the time and led to his expulsion.
