Jean-Eugène Robert-Houdin, né à Blois le 7 décembre 1805 et mort à Saint-Gervais-la-Forêt le 13 juin 1871 [1], est le plus célèbre illusionniste français du XIX e siècle et le fondateur du théâtre Robert-Houdin inauguré 11, rue de Valois à Paris en 1845 et transféré 8, boulevard des Italiens en 1854.
