Biography. Heinrich I von Hessen byname 'das Kind' (b. 24 June 1244 - d. Marburg, 21 December 1308) was from 1263 the first Landgraf von Hessen. He belonged to the House of the Reiniers and after this was founder of the House of Hessen. Son of hertog Hendrik II van Brabant and Sofia von Thüringen.
