Harry Saltzman. Herschel " Harry " Saltzman ( / ˈsɔːltsmən /; October 27, 1915 –. September 28, 1994) was a Canadian theatre and film producer. He is best remembered for co-producing the first nine of the James Bond film series with Albert R. Broccoli. He lived most of his life in Denham, Buckinghamshire, England. Early life.

Eon was started by film producers Albert R. "Cubby" Broccoli and Harry Saltzman in July 1961, at the same time they became partners and sought financing for Dr. No. The year before they formed Danjaq, which for legal reasons became Eon's holding company, from which it licenses the rights to produce the Bond films.
Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman co-produced most of the Eon films until 1975, when Broccoli became the sole producer. The single exception during this period was Thunderball, on which Broccoli and Saltzman became executive producers while Kevin McClory produced.
Harry Saltzman was born on 27 October 1915 in Sherbrooke, Québec, Canada. He was a producer and production manager, known for Dr. No (1962), From Russia with Love (1963) and You Only Live Twice (1967). He was married to Tanya Morris, Jacqueline Colin and Adriana Ghinsberg. He died on 28 September 1994 in Neuilly-sur-Seine, Hauts-de-Seine, France.

Harry Saltzman Biography. 25th October 2009. Born in Quebec, Canada in 1915, the young Saltzman had little education before extraneous circumstances saw Harry abandon home and join the circus. Since then, Saltzman would never talk of his mother and his children would never know their grandmother.
