Il Pembroke College è uno dei collegi costituenti l' Università di Oxford. Fondato nel 1624, deve il suo nome all'allora cancelliere dell'università, William Herbert, III conte di Pembroke. Dopo la costruzione del primo quad nel corso del XVII secolo, vi si aggiunse la cappella nel 1732 e la Hall nel 1848.
Over the past four centuries Pembroke has adapted as the world around has changed: appointing academics in science, admitting women, adding new facilities; but our focus on scholarship has remained. Today we seek to attract the brightest minds to join our community.
Pembroke is an historic foundation dedicated to serve the common good through the provision of education and the promotion of scholarship and research. Since our foundation in 1624 this has been our core purpose, but Pembroke has adapted as the world around has changed.
Pembroke College warmly welcomes graduate students from all over the world to study a wide variety of courses. With over 250 graduate students on course, there is a thriving graduate community and plenty to get involved in.
